Hashed Health Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Hashed Health ("Hashed Health," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit hashedhealth.com or broadtrustadvisors.com, the website for our BroadTrust Advisors practice (together, the "Site"). Both websites are informational. Neither has user accounts, forms, or online purchases, so the information we receive is limited to what is described below.
Information we collect
Information collected automatically. Both websites are hosted by Squarespace. When you visit, Squarespace automatically collects certain technical information on our behalf, including:
Your IP address and the approximate location (such as city or region) derived from it
Your browser type, device type, and operating system
The website that referred you to the Site and any search terms you used to find it
The pages you view, the date and time of your visit, and how long you stay
We use this information in aggregate to understand how people use the Site. We do not use it to identify individual visitors.
Information you send us. The Site does not have contact forms. If you click one of our email links and write to us, we receive whatever you choose to include in that email, such as your name, email address, company, and message. That email goes through our regular email provider, not through the Site.
We do not collect payment information, and we do not ask for any sensitive personal information through the Site.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. The Site uses cookies set by Squarespace, which fall into two groups.
Essential cookies let Squarespace serve the Site securely and reliably. For example, the crumb cookie helps prevent cross-site request forgery and lasts only for your browsing session. These cookies are required for the Site to work.

How we share information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only in these situations:
With Squarespace, which hosts the Site and provides our analytics as our service provider. Squarespace handles that information under its own Privacy Policy.
When required by law, such as in response to a subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or to protect our rights, property, or safety or those of others.
In a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case the information may transfer to the new owner.
Do not track signals
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal to the websites you visit. There is no common industry standard for how to respond to these signals, so the Site does not currently respond to them. Apart from Squarespace in its role as our host, we do not allow third parties to collect information about your activity on the Site for the purpose of tracking you across other websites over time.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. The Site will still work if you block analytics cookies. You can also choose not to email us, in which case we will not receive any information beyond what is collected automatically.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to opt out of certain uses of it. Health Information
Although Hashed Health works in healthcare, the Site is not designed to receive health information. Please do not send us medical records or other personal health information by email through the Site's contact link.
Confidential Business Information
Please do not send confidential business, financial, or deal information to us through the Site’s email links before we have agreed on confidentiality terms with you. Information sent before then is not covered by any confidentiality obligation.
Links to other websites
The Site links to other websites, including our portfolio companies, partners, and press coverage. Those websites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.
Data retention and security
Analytics data is kept according to Squarespace's retention practices. We keep emails you send us for as long as we need them for business or legal purposes. The Site is served over a secure HTTPS connection, and we take reasonable steps to protect the information we receive, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for a business audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be posted on this page before they take effect.
